In this post, I wanted to announce a new series that I’m going to be starting today and running every Wednesday for the foreseeable future at least.
I don’t have a name for this series yet but let me tell you all about it.
As some of you may know I am currently working on my first complete poetry anthology and as I’ve been writing new poetry for the book I have been looking through my poetry archives for inspiration or perhaps even for older poems that could be used in my new book.
In doing this I have found hundreds of poems (and I do mean hundreds, that is no word of an exaggeration) that I have written in my 25 years of life!
These poems have never been read by anybody before, they’re not necessarily the best poems that I have ever written but for me it has been interesting to look back over my old poems and remember what stage of my life I was at when I wrote that poem, who I was with, what I was feeling, all of the emotions that I had filled them with.
I thought it would be fun to share a different poem each Wednesday and give you a little bit of the story behind it too, so that’s what I’m going to do!
I hope you enjoy this new series as much as I have enjoyed putting it together! I really have had tons of fun with this!
The first ‘official’ post of this series will be up almost immediately after this post so look out for that! (or just click here to read it!)
