Hello Everyone!

This post is the latest edition of Music Monday, a series in which I give you an exclusive look into my ever growing record collection!

Every Monday I pick a record from my collection completely at random and then I write about it! In today’s post the album I’m going to be talking about is Brotherhood Of Man – Sing 20 Number One Hits!

As this album is available on Spotify I’ll put a Spotify player here with the album in so that if you’d like to listen to the album as you read the rest of this post then you can!

Brotherhood of Man are a British pop group that were mostly popular throughout the 1970s, they won The Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 with their song “Kisses For Me”.

Brotherhood of Man was created in 1969, originally Brotherhood of Man was an umbrella term for a group with a constantly changing line up of session performers but by 1973 that system stopped working and so an official line up was locked in place.

The permanent line up became:

Martin Lee – Singer / Songwriter

Lee Sheridan – Singer / Songwriter

Nicky Stevens – Singer

Sandra Stevens – Singer

The fixed line up went on to become a success, they had moderate success around the world with their best success definitely being in the UK.

In total they’ve released 16 studio albums and have sold over 15 million records.

I really like this album, it’s a covers album of some of my favourite songs! Generally I’m not a fan of covers albums, but this is a real guilty pleasure of mine!

My favourite tracks are:

Side One: When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman

Side Two: Annie’s Song
